Bill Clinton Eating a Plant-Based Diet
to Improve His Health
Former President Bill Clinton is following a plant-based diet, losing weight and learning to like almond milk. Inspired to trim down his weight for his daughter, Chelsea’s wedding, Mr. Clinton decided to take his new diet a step further and work on clearing his arteries, too.
In a recent CNN interview, Clinton stated "I live on beans, legumes, vegetables, fruit. I drink a protein supplement every morning. No dairy. I drink almond milk mixed in with fruit and protein powder, so I get the protein in when I start the day out." He is now the same weight that he was when he attended high school.
Mr. Clinton was inspired by the best selling book, The China Study: The Most Comprehensive Study of Nutrition Ever Conducted written by T Colin Campbell, PhD and Thomas M Campbell and also by Dr. Dean Ornish and his program for reversing heart disease.
